The Westfalia IV care bed, the newest model in the renowned Westfalia range, is a new addition to the Burmeier portfolio from this summer onwards, and is distinguished by its scissor-type frame which delivers great stability. Compared to the Westfalia III, its predecessor model, the design of the Westfalia IV has been advanced in many respects. The height adjustment range has been expanded downwards by 5 cm, giving it a range spanning 35 cm to 80 cm. This means occupants can always find a convenient height for getting in and out of bed, and nursing staff are able to work at a back-friendly height. The safe working load was increased to 185 kg, and the 24-volt drive system provides an optimised standard of safety. With a variety of mattress base sizes to choose from, the bed can be made to fit ideally into the available space, while the large selection of homelike head and footboards available allows the bed to blend in with its surroundings.
