Exciting innovations at Expolife
Burmeier plans the trade fair highlight of the year
More comfort and even better support for people in homecare – these are Burmeier's topics at Expolife, the major trade fair for medical, rehabilitation and orthopaedic technology in Kassel, Germany. From 16 to 18 March, the Burmeier team is expecting visitors in Kassel. In Hall 12/13 at Stand B03, our guests can find out about interesting new products.
Hundreds of thousands of people in need of care use our successful Dali model. This bed meets high requirements in terms of comfort, safety and support, but one wish could not be fulfilled until now: The mattress base was a maximum of 90 cm wide; for more space, users had to choose another Burmeier model. In Kassel, we are now presenting the Dali 100. Its one-metre wide mattress base sets new standards in basic care.
With the Dali 100, specialist retailers can fulfil requirements regarding the dimensions of care beds. Residents who often used to sleep in wide marriage beds continue to enjoy the comfort they are used to after moving into their care bed. The Dali 100 is always equipped with a comfortable springwood slatted mattress base and an intuitive wired handset.
As easy as it is to operate our beds with the handset, there may be situations in which the resident's state of health no longer allows him or her to operate the buttons with their fingers. In these cases, an environmental control helps to maintain a great deal of independence and quality of life. The residents then adjust the bed, for example, by voice command, by eye movements or by touching a tablet PC.
Together with its partners CSS and Rehadapt, Burmeier is proud to now enable the best conditions for the use of an environmental control on our Dali with wireless handset. On request, the bed's drive includes the "RemoBIF BM" interface from CSS for the integration of such a control. This interface is already fully compliant with the requirements of the new European Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Rehadapt contributes adapters that, for example, hold a tablet and bring it into the optimal operating position above the mattress base. At Expolife, we will inform visitors in detail about the new technology.
Cosiness – this claim also includes beds in the care sector that follow current trends in furniture design and set modern accents. Just like our new Relax, which replaces the predecessor model of the same name that has been successful for years. The Relax is a bed surround with a warm wooden look, classic straight lines and an elegant headboard. It can be ideally combined with the bed inserts from Burmeier's Lippe series. These are effortlessly fitted into the bed surround and remain mostly as invisible as a normal mattress base, but offer all the advantages of an electric, height-adjustable care bed. The wide Lippe 120 and 140 bed inserts also fit into the Relax, creating a visually appealing alternative to a heavy-duty bed.
Another homelike discovery at Expolife is the Pleto overbed table. This elegant, mobile server serves as a bedside cabinet, dining table or transport trolley for nursing care utensils. The larger part of its two-part tabletop can be tilted to create a comfortable surface for reading.
And of course, the Regia senior bed takes centre stage at every Burmeier trade fair appearance. This care bed for private homes can be designed according to individual wishes and impresses with split safety sides, a large height adjustment range from 26 to 80 cm as well as attractive wood decors and upholstery. As a Regia partner double bed, it allows couples to sleep together in their familiar bedroom, even if they need nursing care.
The Burmeier team looks forward to good discussions and valuable feedback from the specialist retailers and trade fair visitors.
