Worldwide use for optimal hygiene

Belimed develops innovative system solutions for the cleaning and disinfection of medical devices

For safe hygiene in the hospital, modern automatic treatment systems are an important prerequisite. Stiegelmeyer therefore cooperates with a renowned partner in the development and testing of its machine-washable hospital beds: Belimed is one of the world's leading providers of innovative system solutions for cleaning, disinfection and sterilization in the medical and life science sectors.

The Swiss company was founded in 1968, and its first successful product was a laboratory glassware washing machine. Today Belimed employs about 1,200 people in ten countries in Europe, North America and Asia. A network of own sales companies and authorized business partners supplies more than 80 countries. Headquarters are in Zug, a picturesque town of 30,000 inhabitants, 20 km south of Zurich on Lake Zug. Belimed belongs to the Metall Zug Group which is a publicly traded, family owned company. Its production facilities are located in Switzerland and Slovenia.

High quality and low water consumption

Safe hygiene and the fight against multidrug-resistant pathogens in hospitals and medical practices are a top priority worldwide. Belimed develops solutions for these requirements, based entirely on the needs of its customers. The range of innovative products ranges from washer-disinfectors for endoscopes, accessories and instruments to steam sterilizers and large-chamber systems for hospital beds. For all devices, Belimed pays attention to space-saving dimensions, cost-effective and environmentally friendly low water consumption and a long lifecycle. Customers appreciate this high quality. For example, 30,000 Belimed plants worldwide prepare more than 150 million instrument strainers annually. As a perfect addition to the machines and devices the company also offers a portfolio of highly modern cleaning and disinfecting agents under the name “Belimed Protect”.

The products are accompanied by comprehensive support in planning, hygiene validation and cost optimization. With the help of tracking software and intelligent management, it is possible, for example, to seamlessly track the processing processes of various products in the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). There is also a first-class after-sales service.

Facilities and beds matched

The cooperation between Belimed and Stiegelemeyer offers the customers of both companies strong advantages. The Belimed CS 750 washing system is ideal for treating modern beds such as Puro, Evario or Seta pro. The system takes into account the latest guidelines and standards, can be adapted to the specific requirements of hospitals and requires only a small footprint due to its compact design. Beds and facilities are getting better coordinated by the close cooperation of both companies. The standardized process of cleaning and disinfecting, rinsing and drying ensures that all surfaces in contact with patients or staff are clean and disinfected./p>

Experts from Belimed and Stiegelmeyer advise customers on site individually. Belimed's large-scale plants can be custom-designed and built upon request. Together, both partners create the best conditions for effective infection prevention, relieving staff and cost-effective work.
