Stiegelmeyer is looking forward to Germany's leading geriatric care trade show
Trade fair presentation shows modern solutions from the nursing home and hospital divisions
It has been three years since Stiegelmeyer's last trade fair appearance at ALTENPFLEGE. When we presented our Vario Safe system for modular care beds with great success in Nuremberg in 2019, no one could have imagined how challenging the world's health and political situation would become. Since then, our beds have made an even more important contribution to the treatment of thousands of people in many countries. And from 26 to 28 April, we will be back at ALTENPFLEGE in Essen to present our visitors with solutions for a modern future of healthcare and nursing care.
After a long time full of video conferences and phone calls, the Stiegelmeyer team is very keen to have a personal exchange with our customers. At our booth A09 in hall 7, visitors can finally experience our products in person again and gather vivid impressions.
Our new concept also contributes to this. For the first time, Stiegelmeyer presents itself at this ALTENPFLEGE show with products and ideas from the divisons Nursing home, Hospital and Connectivity. Visitors will get to know us as a provider of comprehensive solutions that smartly connect many areas of nursing and healthcare.
The new generation of the care bed series Elvido is particularly interesting for nursing homes. With many intelligent details, these models provide even more safety and relief in everyday life. For example, the illuminated handset that comes as standard make it easier to operate the beds at night. The enhanced OOB Smart Out-of-Bed system enables even more precise management of all functions - even conveniently from a smartphone. And with the Vario Safe and Easy Click systems, all available safety sides can now be attached and removed without tools.
The number of residents with dementia will rise sharply in the coming years. This makes it all the more important to have care concepts that follow the philosophy of the Werdenfelser Weg despite higher protection needs (Editorial note: The Werdenfelser Weg is an approach to strengthen the idea of avoiding restraints and deprivation of liberty measures such as abdominal belts, safety sides, etc.). Ultra-low beds, for example, are promising, in which people with severe cognitive impairments can live out their urge to move unhindered without falling repeatedly. Our floor-level care bed Basano was developed for this purpose. With its height adjustment range from a very low 15 cm up to 80 cm, it meets all the requirements of modern care.
Just like the quality of life of older people, a good start in life for newborns is also close to our hearts. With the Jovie baby crib, Stiegelmeyer is introducing a new model in this area for the first time in many years - and has taken into account all the requirements of the new children's bed DIN EN standard.
With Jovie, the baby sleeps very close to the mother. The modern baby crib with see-through safety sides creates a soothing atmosphere. At the same time, the focus is on safety and optimal hygiene. The example of the Jovie shows the possibilities of Stiegelmeyer as a solution provider: We can furnish a complete family room with a Libra partner double bed, baby crib, bedside cabinets, wardrobes, table and seating furniture.
Individual mattresses have long been a strength of Stiegelmeyer. Now we are expanding our range to include the modern alternating pressure systems of our partner Novacare. With their help, a customised mattress base can first be designed for the needs of the patient or resident. Intelligent ventilation and release of air from the cells then distributes the pressure load more evenly, and the risk of pressure ulcers decreases considerably. Visitors to the ALTENPFLEGE trade show can experience these economical systems in action. Novacare's products are suitable for both hospitals and nursing homes - in Essen, we will be showing a versatile hybrid mattress with dynamic functions on a care bed.
