Deluxe sleeping, deluxe living – Libra deluxe!

The new premium model of the lifestyle bed division celebrated its premiere at Hometex

People today enjoy a considerably longer life expectancy than in the past. They want to be able to organise their everyday lives actively and independently well into old age. And especially at a time when the organisation of nursing care is facing major challenges, they want to make provisions for themselves and secure the best possible technical support. Lifestyle beds from Stiegelmeyer fulfil exactly these wishes. Visitors to the Hometex trade fair in Bad Salzuflen in Germany were impressed by our new premium model: the Libra deluxe was presented there as a prototype. With the help of feedback from our visitors, the final touches are now being made before the bed is available to order in spring 2025.

Our homelike, height-adjustable Libra has been in use very successfully for some time now. The new deluxe version extends the Libra family and offers attractive extras that will delight customers with individual preferences.

The new quilted head and footboards are striking at first glance. Their majestic and homelike size exudes elegance and comfort. Libra deluxe is a sophisticated designer bed that visually hides its many technical strengths. The familiar functionality is fully retained - the new head and footboards can be attached and removed without tools using the Vario Safe system when unhindered access to the mattress base is required. And just like the Libra Standard, the Libra deluxe is a certified medical product.

The Libra deluxe also has an innovative new feature under the mattress base. Manoeuvrable beds are very useful in many situations, but the necessary castors and sturdy chassis do not always match the desired look at home. That's why, for the first time, there is a homelike cover. The castors and chassis are concealed by a dark bed base, while the lifting columns are covered in a matching grey fabric. When the Libra deluxe is in its normal low position, this new bed base is almost invisible. Of course, the bed can still be easily moved to the side for thorough floor cleaning, for example. The brake pedal for the central castor lock is also easily accessible from the bed base.

Sleep is particularly restful when you have plenty of room to stretch out in bed. In addition to the usual widths of 90 and 100 cm, all single beds in the Libra family are now available with a 110 cm mattress base. This is made possible by an attachable bed width extension, which offers a great deal of additional comfort. But that's not all: for the first time, the Libra deluxe partner bed is available in a 200 cm width, in addition to the standard 180 cm width. In both cases, the two halves of the bed can be separated and used separately, allowing couples to sleep in separate rooms if, for example, there is a medical indication to do so.

The love is in the details. The same goes for the Libra deluxe. Discover the elegant illuminated handset for the electrical adjustment of the mattress base, the high-quality Stiegelmeyer plaque on the footboard or the "quality fabric flag" on the headboard. All these details combine to create a bed with a unique look and feel.

Libra beds disassembled on standard pallets on request. The retailer can then choose whether to deliver them to the customer and assemble them on site, or to commission a Stiegelmeyer partner transport company to do so. In either case, the new process facilitates delivery to private homes and reduces physical labour.

The Libra deluxe is a dream bed for consumers and an attractive product for retailers. We invite you to follow our news on social media for more information.
