Explore our care worlds in 3-D with a mouse click
360° tour invites you to visit our Herford exhibition virtually
Exploring a new place digitally is great fun. Whether you are strolling along a Berlin boulevard in Google Maps or exploring a mystical landscape in a computer game: The virtual walk by mouse click always has a special magic. This can now also be experienced in the Stiegelmeyer exhibition in Herford.
A visit to our exhibition has always been an impressive experience. Behind the glass fronts of the modern showroom, a small world of care and health can be discovered. Especially the nursing home area on the ground floor fascinates with its lovingly furnished rooms. Visitors can not only get to know our beds and furniture here, but also get many ideas for homelike furnishings.
Enabling exchange even in times of pandemic
But as the Corona pandemic spread, visits became fewer. Travelling and larger meetings were often prohibited. Communication shifted to the internet, even in the business sector. We at Stiegelmeyer hope that we will soon meet our customers in person as often as we did before Corona. But the virtual exchange will remain, and so we had an exciting idea in regard to our exhibition in Herford: the 360° tour on the internet.
Our video partner Life is Motion helped us with the implementation. Using a rotating camera on a tripod, the experts created circular images all over the ground floor. Software then calculated these panoramas into a complete 3-D photo model of the room. Before this action, all the rooms had to be prepared with the utmost care. Every unwanted crease in the bedspread, every handbag accidentally left on the floor would otherwise have been plastically documented forever.
Simple movement in digital space
The virtual visitor can now navigate to any place in the nursing home exhibition with a mouse click or (on a smartphone) at the touch of a finger. To change the viewing direction, the mouse is dragged to the right or left while holding down the left button, or the finger is swiped across the image. Circular markings on the floor show the ideal way through the rooms.
If a bed or piece of furniture arouses interest, detailed information is immediately available. Many products are marked with coloured circles. A click on the orange circle opens the PDF of the product brochure. A click on the blue circle starts a product video. In this way our visitors can look forward to competent advice also on their virtual journey through the exhibition. We are already looking forward to your next visit in Herford – and to your feedback.
