The Out-of-Bed system for care beds

With the Out-of-Bed system, our care beds offer residents even more security and relieve the nursing staff – especially at night. Michaela Amedick, our product manager for the Nursing home branch, introduces you to the helpful features of the system.

All system settings are adjusted using the separate Out-of-Bed handset, so that the resident cannot accidentally change the functions.

To adjust all functions, the backrest must first be raised slightly. To do this, press the “arrow up” button on the top left of the handset until the LED light above the button lights up.

If you like, you can now initiate the automatic activation of the optional reading lamp. For this, the backrest must be loaded - ideally by the resident in bed. On the left side of the handset, press the button with the lamp symbol until the LED light above it lights up. When the resident leaves the bed, the reading lamp turns on after 2 seconds. If he lies down again, it turns off after 2 seconds.

Similarly, you adjust the Out-of-Bed signal. Again, the backrest must be raised and loaded. Now select a time interval between 15 seconds and 15 minutes in the orange area of the handset. Press the corresponding button until the LED light above the button lights up.

If the resident leaves the bed, the system activates the light-signal call system after the selected time has elapsed.

The Out-of-Bed signal stops only when the nurse acknowledges it. To do this, press the green presence button in the resident room.

When the resident returns to bed, the Out-of-Bed system is automatically activated again.
